With the Pixel, do you go a full picture Caller ID?

For example, Im on a Nexus 6P and when I add a picture to a contact, the picture shows on half the screen which i like. I don't like this caller id picture that shows only in the tiny circle like on Apple. If this is the case with the new Pixel dialer in 7.1 nougat, I won't be updating to 7.1 when it comes.
