I have upgraded before with other phones but the way this phone was rooted was different than in the past so I want to be sure about how to upgrade my OS.
I rooted my S6 (verizon - SM-G920V) by using the KingRoot app. A button came up one day and said "try to root, if it fails, so what" (or something like that) and I rooted while in a meeting playing with my phone and didn't need to reboot at all. This was a few months ago and I was suspicious of it actually being rooted but every other app I have on the phone is able to get root access.
Seems rooting has got a lot better since my S3.
Can I install the OTA update or what is the process for installing the update and preserving root?
