How do I make it so that on lock screen, all messages appear individually?

For example, if I receive multiple messages in my GroupMe or WhatsApp chat, for GroupMe it just shows the most recent message, and for WhatsApp it just shows "3 new messages". Is there a way I can make it so that each of these messages show up as an individual banner on the lock screen? It's just easier for me so I don't have to unlock my phone to read all the messages.
