Massive Android conversion project.

I have just found my old LG GW520. It's a brilliant phone from the time before iPhones. It has a full size qwerty keyboard that slides out, and it is brilliant for talking to people. However, it does not run android. I've just checked and it's running something called "GW520AT_V10d" and I have no idea what that means. If possible, I would love to upgrade it to a much more recent version of android, so that it can run as a more up to date phone. Does anyone have an idea where I can get a version of android? And what I need to do to install it onto my old handset?
