Ok my daughters tablet wont switch off after doing a soft reset what we do to get it back on

And when the screen comes back on it shows samsung galaxy then welcome select language then under that it says tap accessibility below to change the settings and i have done that several times now and still the same what can i do to shut it down completely and do a hard reset to get it open again so my daughter can play her games again i know we would have to download them all again but that would be great if we could do that but right now we cant do zip can you help us out please many thanks peter,
