Texts showing in outlook(PC) even though SMS sync is not selected on phone

My texts are showing in my outlook inbox on PC only. On my phone, the box to sync SMS is not checked and I do not see texts on my device only my exchange account when I use my work pc or access via OWA. I have deleted phone partnerships via OWA, deleted my account on my phone and set up new and continue to have this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
