Have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. Why is it going dead so often while making calls?

Used to be when the call went over 30 minutes. Now it is at 15-20 minutes. goes dead. Have to restart the phone - takes 2-3 minutes. Have read many complaints about this happening on this model. Samsung wants it back for 2 weeks - that won't work.
