Hello, I recently inherited this 2013 model from my kids, it's Android 4.0.4
Just a couple of weeks ago I discovered that it automatically shows up when connected to the PC, unlike the Galaxy Ace which you have to slide the screentop menu and ask it to be Mass Storage.
But now on Jan 1 it doesn't show up (on a Win 10 machine).
Some advice online was :
1. enter *#7284# in phone mode, switch between USB or UART modes.
2. activate 'usb debugging'
3. go into control panel, device manager - ensure enhanced USB host controller is activated.
No luck with any of these, so I did a factory reset from the on-screen menu. Still no luck.
Any suggestions?
Could this be something to do with date change to a new year? our samsung tablet also woke up a bit strange, in 'secure mode', and had to be reset.
Thanks Phil A
