Android not receiving all iphone texts

I switched to Android phone. Now I don't receive group texts from my iphone peeps. I get half of them. Very random. I did unregister from I Message on Apple site. I don't have my iphone anymore so did not do it before switchinh. How do we fix this annoying text problem??
