Can I restore assistant cards that have been dismissed?

I see other people using ReDiscover this day in Google photos, but for some reason I don't have that option and my assistant has stopped automatically making creations. When I go into my settings to select my assistant card it says auto creation on buy I don't recieve. Nor do I have a rediscover this day option.
I've even Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still no luck
