Color of the notification bar (6.0.1 marshmallow)

So I was using my friend's phone and I noticed that with his, when you pull down the notification panel it's gray/white color scheme. I have a Galaxy S5 and mine is still the blue color--even the volume popup is still white.
I was just wondering if there was a way to change that?
