Why is there an unknown Android icon labled "Target" showing up on my home screen?

I have a Moto G 1st Gen. Today I noticed a suspicious Android icon on my screen hidden in a cluster of other apps on one of my home screens. This "app" is not showing up under my downloads, apps or my main screen button. What is it and how do I remove it properly? I haven't dared to open it yet. Thank you in advance!
