trying to do data recovery on note 5 SM-N920V, no programs support the Verizon (V) model version.

My question is, can I use one of these other models that specify other carriers than the one the phone was with (SM-N920I, SM-N920C, SM-N920K, etc)? Does this minor difference really matter that much? I really need the data off my phone and of course I have the one incompatible model.. damn verizon.. What should I do please? Thank you
