Making use of an old Droid 1

I recently found my old first generation Droid, and it reminded me of how much I loved having a physical keyboard on my phone. I have a nice-ish Bluetooth keyboard for my current phone, but it just isn't the same. I want to repurpose the old Droid into essentially a tiny Google Drive terminal, as all I really want it need it for is writing, and I was wondering, is there a best way to do this? It'll be Wi-Fi only, of course, but the original Droid didn't have a lot under the hood, so to speak, and it's running quite slowly. I imagine some of that is just that it's old,
and I used it a lot back when it was my phone, so it's got some wear and tear, but some of it must be bloatware running in the background, and/or it trying to communicate with a 3G network that doesn't want to talk back, and/or some other issue I don't know of. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance!
