My son owns a Tracfone Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro 5. After rebooting this phone he needed to enter the account and password information to get past the factory reset protection. Alas he could not recall his password.
Accordingly, we used an email account that was associated with this phone and created a new password. After entering that new information we were advised that we needed to wait 24 hours because he had created a new password.
Unfortunately, despite waiting 24 hours with the phone charging but otherwise completely shut off, he cannot get into the phone because we needed to wait 24 hours. We've done this through several 24 hour cycles yet we repeatedly see a warning that we must wait 24 hours in light of a recent password change. The password was changed a week ago.
The account we are signing in with has been synced to this phone.
This phone does NOT use Lollipop. Rather it uses Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow so, in theory, it should open after 24 hours.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
