Hey all, I have recently been using my old HTC m8 as a security camera at my house. Worked great until a few days ago I noticed the battery swelling out of the screen. They do make replacement battery kits, but it sounds like an involved process, and I really don't want to be messing with a swelled battery.
That being said, what do you guys think, should I get a used phone like a Galaxy s6? Or should I go with like a lower end new phone, like the 40 dollar Trac phones at the grocery stores? I don't really want to spend more than 40 dollars or so, and the only requirement is that it has a halfway decent camera (hopefully 1080 video). Other than that I don't really care what kind of phone it is, as long as it will work as a security cam.
