I had two popups appear on a website. One had a beeping sound through my speaker
Malwarebytes scan after this stated my device is clean. Can the popup making a sound come through my speaker have a possible hack sign? I did not click on anything within these popups but clicked back, back, back untill I got back to Google.
Can even having popup alerts about a virus infection on your device, from a website cause damage to your device? I did not click on anything within them.
The popups also stated it knew my device model. How can I hide this about revealing my device model in future.
Also at the time of the popups, I'm unsure if I'd cleared my browser and password history, would viewing these popups had made them have any access to my data? Or must a popup be physically clicked on for the popup to take effect and attack?
Am so paranoid as don't want this appearance of these popups meaning my device is unsafe or worse. Please help settle me down.
Thank you.
