Can I change the battery in a samsung galaxy tablet S2 sm-t810

Reference: Samsung Galaxy tab S2 SM-T810, the battery is dying and the tablet is out of warranty. Looked at you tube videos but I wonder if tablet can be damaged if I try changing it myself. Opinions please....
