My phone is turning off for no reason

So whenever i disconnect my phone from the charger it turns off in 2 mins and i can turn it back on but it instantly shuts down even if its on 100% so i can't use my phone unless its on a charger. Is the problem in my battery or something with my phone, don't want to buy a new battery if its not the problem please help thanks
