When running apps on S7 Edge my screen will slowly go dark

When running apps on S7 Edge my screen will slowly go dark, after 10 sec even though I have auto brightness turned off and screen timeout set to 2 min, brightness will return if I touch screen, this is a problem if i'm running a game app and thinking about a move, is there a way to have the screen brightness stay active?
