Does anyone know when Waze will be added to the android auto apps?

I am new to this. Had to buy a new phone to get full functionality in the new vehicle I bought. I have a Kia Sportage 2017.

Love Waze and see where it was mentioned as being added.

Does anyone know soon this may happen or is it only a dream that waze will work?
