Why does my moto g4 keep rebooting 9+ times everytime I power up?

I have a Moto g4,only had it 3 months, bought it brand new. It was running fine. One night about 2 weeks ago, I went to sleep, plugged it in to charge and left it on my homes wifi, when I woke up in the morning, it was shut off. When I powered it up, it booted to my pin, I entered my pin, and it proceeded to boot to my home screen. But I had no use of the touch screen. Then it restarted itself again, and again and again and... Maybe 9+ times until I had use of the screen. WTF happened? And how do I fix it?

Why is my audio inconsistent?

When I'm watching anything on YouTube or listening to things on Pandora, my audio volume will randomly get quiter. There is no pattern or noticeable cause, and the actual "volume" setting isn't changing. It seems like something is trying to play audio over it, but I have no other apps open. Brand new galaxys9 plus notifications play through both speaker and headphones when plugged in?

Hey AndroidCentral, I have a brand new galaxy s9+ and the notification noises come through handset when headphones are plugged in. Yes their seated fully, yes no debris in the audio port, and the headphones are the ones that came with the phone, and confirmed problem with a reliable set of other headphones used with my previous phone.

I have read this is a very common problem online? And of course SoundAbout crashes everytime I try to open the app. I was so excited for this phone and now im definitely not. Something so simple should work automatically, and even applied effort and searching I can't even make an alternative solution work. Makes me want to whip it against the wall honestly, this is supposed to be the 'best' phone out there and now I want my iphone already. So depressing.

Huawei P20 - Why can't I preview my messages?

Hi everyone! I have a question. I used to own S7 EDGE and usually when I'd get multiple messages, let's say on Whatsapp, I'd be able to actually "preview" them on my lock screen which allowed me to find out the content of the said messages, without actually going to the app itself. Kinda like a cheat sheet, so to speak

Now, w/ my P20, I can't seem to do that. It just doesn't want to. I'd like to provide a screenshot, but links aren't allowed...

Basically in the screenshot I took I have 7 messages, but I can't "stretch" them down to reveal the whole content of the aforementioned messages.

How do you transfer Google contacts to be on your physical phone?

I am trying to have all of my google contacts be put on my physical phone. I am doing this because my Bluetooth in my car will not pick up the contacts that are loaded in from google so therefore if I am driving my car won't display who is calling me or messaging me, just the phone number. Samsung J7 took a photo on its own.

It was 2:30 at night. The phone was lying on the besdside table. Suddenly there was this *ping* sound, the front LED flashlight switched on, clicking of a picture sound, and then another *ping*. The screen remained black the whole time. The picture didnt even show up in the gallery.

Setting up G-pay and getting the following message:

I have tried on 2 devices, 1 a pre-release Galaxy s9+ and the other a brand new S8.

Neither device is rooted and have completed run time checks on both to make sure no security has been tampered with. Either way I end up with the following error message "this phone cant be used to pay in shops. this may be because it is rooted or altered in some other way"

Umm.. hi.. I have a problem in here.. Everytime I try to update YouTube it tells me there is an error and can't update app.. What does that mean? I can open and load the app just fine, i can long press on videos and get the little preview thing but i cant scroll, click different tabs within the app, or even click on videos to watch, if i go to chrome and google a yt video and have it load through chrome to the yt app the app works great just like that, but the second i close the video im back to step 1...

Recover from blacked galaxy j7

Hey, I have a blacked(broken) galaxy j7 core.
I dont have a password on it, so double pressing the home button unlocks it, but the problem then is when I connect the USB cable, it probably gives me 3 options which are charege,transfer files and some other thing.
To access the files on my computer I need to select transfer files on my phone, but since my phone is blacked AND i cant press anything(touch not working), I cant select it.
I can connect a mouse but then obviously im disconnecting the USB cable lol.
What can I do here?? thanks guys.

BTW, the reason I dont wanna fix the screen first is because the phone has no password, meaning the person whos gonna fix my screen can easily access my files afterwards, and I have some stuff in there that nobody else should see.

Guys I am new here . I have a Motorola G5 splus . i play a lot of online games especially aov . I mostly live in hostel and just came home for holidays . I don't know what is going one with my connection . I mostly use mobile data to play online games . Here my mobile data is fast giving over an MBPS speed but when i try to play any online game it starts reconnecting . I even tried speedtest apps and even they show that my connection is good but still when i try to login it starts reconnecting . It is happening with not only 1 but 3 of my games

How do I get rid of MM Phone notification. Emergency calls only?

I've had my Samsyng Galaxy S8+ for about over half a year. I moved to a new place so the network is very bad and I don't have Wi-Fi. So I was messing around with my Network Mode settings which was originally set to LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) so I changed it to 2G only, then 3G only, then 2G/3G only then finally back to LTE/3G/2G (auto connect). When I did that I got the notification and it's not been working. It's been about 20 minutes.

Why is my battery draining so fast (Huawei P20 Pro)?

Ok, I've been using this phone for more than a week. I think it's great, but the battery usage is driving me crazy.
Yesterday my screen on time from 100 to 20, with very light use, was 2 hours and 20 minutes, and while using it the battery drops like 1-2% every 3-4 minutes, which is very frustrating.
I tried a hard reset (+ wipe cache) as well as a soft reset, with no results.
Yesterday I installed BetterBatteryStats to look for anything suspicious. At the moment, the only strange kernel wakelock is ts_wake_lock, which also appears as an Active Process. Do you know what it is and how to fix it?
Moreover, the WiFi icon in the notification bar is always showing the double lit arrows, as the phone is constantly receiving and sending...

Why does a photo I deleted and removed permanently from trash still exist?

I took a photo on snapchat and saved it to my gallery. Post that, I've deleted the photo + permanently removed it from trash and I've deleted the Snapchat folder within my gallery too; however, when I open my whatsapp/telegram and browse through photos to change my profile picture, the folder still exists with only that single photo in it. Hi, I'll try to keep this short!
I live in a forest and in the summer, suffer from a very poor mobile Internet signal, so I've decided to buy a signal amplifier.
According to my phone and my carrier, my incoming signal is band 8 (900mhz) but I've spoken to two large suppliers of amplifiers, both who've 'run diagnostics' and they both say I'm receiving a signal at 2100mhz!?
Who would be right??

My LG Stylo 3 will not connect to Sync in my 2014 Ford Fusion.

I just bought a used 2014 Ford Fusion S. My phone, an LG Stylo 3 (LGL84VL), will not connect to the Sync system. I turn Bluetooth on in my phone, and it recognizes Sync. I put in the code, and Sync says "LGL84VL SAVED, then immediately says "CONNECTION FAILED". How do I fix the issue?

Have to redial twice to make a call

Galaxy note 4. Brand new. Even if the number is in my contact list it will dial the number and tell me to enter the area code and phone number. Usually if I dial the number twice it works. I've tried "manually reconnecting" my network on my phone but it doesn't even let me click network operators.

Use a dark transparent filter on 2nd homescreen

Hey,

I finally finished all my setup as I like it but I'm missing that last piece.
Is there such a program or function somewhere ? I'd really love to be able to apply a dark transparent filter on a specific homescreen (the number 2) while keeping the same static wallpaper (random rotation with Wallpaper Changer).

I am suddenly hearing a rattling sound in my S9 plus when i shake it.

Android Wear OS - Screen locks while still on wrist

If screen lock is on, Wear OS is only supposed to lock the watch after you take it off. When you put it back on, it should only ask for the pin/password one time until you take it off again.

I've noticed that my watch will occasionally engage the screen lock throughout the day even though I have already unlocked it once. I've read that this is because the watch can't sense your heart rate which is what the watch uses to make sure the it is still on your wrist. After many searches for a fix without any luck, I figured out a solution which I'm posting here.

Open google fit and make sure that it can sense your heart beat. The app needs permission to use this and it may have been disabled during an update or if you've reset your watch. If that doesn't work, you may have to enable background heart rate monitoring. That should fix the issue.

Setting up a metered Hot-spot

Hey,

My Mams gone into respite care and has an Amazon Fire TV Stick but no Wi-Fi, I want to set up her phone as a hotspot but can't seem to find a way to meter the connection? She has a galaxy Note 3, is there a way to do this? I know I can set Netflix to use no more that 0.3gb per hour but I'd like to make sure the whole device Can't use more than 250mbs an hour so she can use all the other video services without worrying about using all her data up any help would be much appreciated.

Can't enter recovery mode - Samsung Galaxy Young

Hi there,
a friend of my has a broken smartphone, so I decided to revive my old samsung galaxy young and give it to her. I've had trouble since the start, because the phone only vibrated instead of turning on, but after like an hour, it finally turned on. Another problem began though. I haven't used it for almost 2 years now, but I still have a screen password, PIN to be exact, which I can't remember (believe me, I've tried).
So I tried to get to recovery mode and make a hard reset (pressed home button, volume up and power button) but all that happened was that again, the phone vibrated and didn't turn on until I let go of those buttons. Tried it a couple of times, but still the same. Thanks for help.

How do I find a saved wifi password on a LG G5?

ive scoured the web for help and all ive found is that there should be a file called wpa_something under data/misc/wifi but when i go to my file manager, and go to "data", misc isnt an option. ive tried searching for "wifi" or "wpa" in hopes of finding it that way but nothing comes up. i even tried downloading a third party file managing app and it only shows me the exact same folders. does my phone just not store things in the same places as other android? please help!

my weather widget is showing two different times

the weather widget has a large time display - based on my location, but this is two hours behind. in the right hand lower corner of the widget, there is a refresh time which when I refresh updates to the current time in my time zone (GMT+2), the notification bar also shows the correct time of my time zone.
how do I get the widget clock to display the correct time?
I have a galaxy S8, the widget referred to here is the 5x1 weather widget.

Can i disable the switch off option while my phone is locked (running oreo 8.1)?

In case of theft, I would like to disable the option to turn off my phone while it's locked. I downloaded the smart screen protector app, but i guess it doesn't support my android device (p20 pro; orea 8.1) - i am still able to turn off my phone while it's locked and the app is running. Are there other application/methods, which would do the trick?

Mobile connected via Wifi has internet on browser but not on the apps

Galaxy S-4, S-Memo's gone/missing

Hi on old phones I've always been able to tick proximity sensor to stop it vearing off into a world of it's own. I've had a J5 for some time, can't wait to upgrade,as always Samsung seem to have a few ongoing glitches, the above being one of them. No more fast charging

Lately sometimes when I charge my C5 pro (nougat), it no longer says "fast charging" on the notifications but it still seems to be charging at the same rate. Actually i'm pretty sure because gsam and another app I have show the same amps when connected to the charger.

I have not updated it recently. I'm using the charger and cable that came with the phone. In the past it used to say "charging" then within a few seconds, a second alert would show up that said "fast charging", whenever I plugged it in.

I don't know what has caused this recent change, I want to make sure it's not indicative of any issue.

Lock Screen would not accept the correct PIN. Now afraid to use!

I have a Samsung Galaxy s4, and I have never locked it where it requires a pin, pattern or password….just the swipe when opening up the phone.

I will be traveling to Europe in a week and thought it wise to lock my phone in case it gets lost or stolen, so yesterday I set it up to require a PIN after 10 minutes of no use.

It worked as expected all day, but then early this morning (around 1 am), I put in the PIN several times CORRECTLY, but kept getting the answer "Incorrect PIN." Finally, I restarted the phone. Once it restarted, I put in the PIN again and it worked fine. I then removed any type of Lock Screen.

After reading online about people having nightmares of not being able to use their phone and having to factory reset it, I am afraid to put on a lock screen. If something happens in Europe, I will not be near a PC to research how to fix it, etc. Besides, I have most of our itinerary stored in the TripIt app and can't afford to lose that info.

Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have any suggestions what to do to secure my phone without going through what I did? I did travel to Europe last year without locking my phone and things were ok. My phone is rarely out of my hand or off my person, but I do want the information in it to remain safe.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. I am on Three Network. I have been using Wuntu successfully until a week ago, but the last week, it keeps crashing. I disable it, turn off my phone, turn wifi off and mobile data on the download it again. I download from Play Store and it says downloading. When I click on open, it opens and when I click on an offer, it asks me to register. I confirm that I am over 13 years of age and click register. It says reading SIM then crashes. Any ideas please? Cannot flash android tablet, PC doesn't see device

I've protected my device (Samsung galaxy 4) with a password and one day it stopped accepting my password. I flashed it in the hopes of resetting it except it still asks for the pw and in a foreign language on top of that.
I tried reflashing it many times but the PC does not recognise it anymore, so I can't download the ROM onto it with Odin.

Does the S9+ and the Note 8 have the same Bluetooth issues that the S8+ has?

I know it is not my car that has the problem because I can use my work iphone with bluetooth and no problem exists with call quality, it is just the Galaxy. Before Idecide its upgrade time to an S9+ or a Note 8 I want to know if this problem exists on others as well. I am tired of having to use my work phone for personal calls while driving. Bluetooth is a must for me since I live #1 in a hands free state and #2 I drive a stick shift.

Samsung S7 Edge WiFi Setting Not Saying On

She said that she has tried everything with it including:


1. Tried connecting to the WiFi through other ways on the phone (but the same thing still happens)

2. Turning it off and on multiple times

3. Reset the phone to factory settings

4. Changed the SD Card

HTC 10 - Ringer Issues

Hi,
So my Dad, my Wife and I all have HTC 10 phones. Recently we've noticed that we've started to miss calls on the phones. The phone will ring for some numbers and not for others.

For example a delivery guy rang my phone last week and the phone rang no problem, however when my wife rings me, it only vibrates. There are no custom settings for her number. I've tweeted HTC but they haven't bothered to come back to me. I can assure that the phones are not on silent or vibrate only.

If anyone has any experience with this issue I'd be very grateful to hear from you.

I used my girlfriends phone and was able to call both numbers

I can call other number with my phone and it works fine.

Any ideas how to fix.

Difficulty deleting floating ico

I am having difficulty deleting an icon that is appearing on my Samsung Note 5. It's not the SPen icon either. When I open it I find that it has access to other apps and settings, and also it is in some other language. It has a thick black outer circle, grey circle next and white in the middle. Call Recording issue in android

Need Suggestion for Call Recording from both end in android
I have tried multiple ways and not getting required output.
I have tried below code for start Recording and Stored in storage, but recording is not started in some devices.

Abnormal Removed apps data usage in Android

I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime+ running Android 6.0.1.

For the last few months data consumption has increased from under 20GB/mo
to more than 90GB/mo. This has been through WiFi and has used up all
my internet monthly data quota (I am on a metered DSL data plan).
Data usage shows that "Removed apps" has used about 90GB the last month and all other apps combined have used less than 8GB.

I have installed/uninstalled a couple of apps but nothing as large as the above usage. Phone memory and SD cards are 4GB each and full.

Help !

S2 worth buying? Compared to Ipad 2018

Hi I am trying to get a tablet for awhile now and I down to these 2 options but can't really decide between them. I am a university student who intend to use the tablet for mainly media consumption (heavy netflix user) and gaming (pubg, nba2k etc). Currently, I'm leaning towards the S2 mainly because of its screen but am worry about its gaming capabilities. What i know so far:

Pros of S2
- 52 USD cheaper
- AMOLED screen
- Portability (Much prefer its size)

Pros of of Ipad 2018
- More powerful processor
- More future proof (2 year newer)
- Battery life
- App store > Google play (plus im using apple music on my iphone)

Google server crashes and freezes Android 4.4.4 tablet when activating Wi-Fi.

We have 500+ of these rooted tablets in commercial applications and yesterday they all crashed and froze due to Google server access issues.
Any of these tablets which had ever had any connection to Google servers in the past, (all of them), now freeze immediately as soon as Wi-Fi is turned on. Many of these tablets have operated flawless for more than 2 years.
Tried re-loading firmware, updating Google Play Services, etc. to no avail. None of these tablets have any desire or need to communicate with Google servers, but we don't know how to disable their nose from of our business.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Internal Root CA on 8.1.0 May 5th (Pixel2)

I have an internal Root CA I want my android to trust, I can't get it to add the trust.

It is in User Credentials for app, vpn, and WiFi, but it still is not working because it isn't trusting my CA.

It is not in trusted credentials under user (which is where I had it before when it was working).

Anyone know how to get an internal CA trusted by android 8.1?

I can receive MMS but can't send MMS

I am using a Xiaomi MI Mix 2s phone on AT&T in the USA. I am able to receive MMS but I cannot send them. The error I get is that it failed to send. I am using the Textra application to text and will attach my APN information. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Rotate is not working in my android box.

How to disable the screen saver that appears after the display turns off

I have an LG L64 Fiesta 5.5" phone with Android 7.0.

I keep getting this annoying screen saver upon return of the display going off. There is also annoying "slide to unlock" text that has to be swiped to get back to the display. I'm not sure when this started, but I do not like it.

The background of the screensaver is a spacey dark blue, touch of red, twinkling stars, and then there is an analog clock above the "slide to unlock" text.

I use the Go Launcher Z, which I thought was the problem. I've let it go for quite some time because Go Launcher is my favorite launcher. Today though, I installed, as default launcher, Nova Launcher; and I still get this crazy screen.

Is there a way to disable this thing? I just want to go back to the display when I touch the power button.

S6 Gallery blurry pictures

Starting May 24 all photos taken with my S6 are blurry when viewed with the Gallery app. They also can only be zoomed in about 1/3 of normal and are very poor resolution. However, when the same photos are viewed with the tools/my files app, they are the normal high resolution, and can be zoomed in normally.

Also, all photos taken before May 24 can be viewed with good resolution with Gallery as well as myfiles.

It seems something has changed in the way the camera saves photos? Has there been a camera or system update recently?

YouTube app wont work(screen seems frozen) unless I hit the back button. Happening to anyone else?

Happens on my Note 8, Android version 8.0.0, Samsung version 9.0.0. App opens and won't scroll up/down, allow me to click anything until the back button is pressed. Then works normal, until I click on something. The starts the same issue. I have restarted the phone.

SD card simply loses files.....I know..it sounds crazy

This is crazy. i've been in IT for a long time but cant figure this one out.

I add mp3 files to my sd card through my computer. eject the SD card correctly. Move the card to my S7. go to look at the files on the card and 80% of the files are just gone. Its a 64gb samsung SD card. i've added 1000 songs to it and verified that they show up just fine when on the computer. When i move to the phone, it tells me there are 153 files on the card. i move it back to the computer and it shows me 153 files (songs). Somehow, the majority of songs just get deleted from the card when i move them to the phone. i get no errors when i transfer the card to the phone. i've deleted the folder and retried. Same thing....thats just crazy.

any ideas would be appreciated.

trouble with my Alcatel tab

My father passed away recently, and my mum gave his Alcatel modle 8063 to my young daughter.

After logging out of his gmail account and doing a hard reset, it keeps asking to log back in to his account, which I put in the correct details, but it tells me that the account doesn't exist.

I am the only one with these details, and have tried to log in through chrome, and again says no such account.

My Dad had poor memory, so every time he had a new device we wrote down the details as entered so he could log in should he need to, so I know they are the correct details.

Is there anyway we can load the device and put a new account on it?

I've tried clearing cash followed by a hard reset, and had it suggested to do this three times in a row. Which I have done.

Still no joy.

With this being my Dad's device it's important to us to get it working again as it would be upsetting to have to dispose of it as an unusable devise.

Images disapearing from Huawei p9?

Hello as of yesterday all pictures taken on my huawei p9 dissapers. This happens only to the pictures taken after this startet hapening, it also apply to files tried copyed to other folders, files i have deleted after this startet happening, reapers. I have tried turning the phone on and of, removing and put in the SD card, and changing the storaging to intenal, the files do still dissapear. this keeps happening when i change the storaging back to SD. I have already run an SD-test, and have plenty of starage space left.

Any idea how to fix this?

How do I get my Zenpad 3s10 screen to turn off automatically?

I've got a Zenpad 3s 10 tablet and while it is pretty much excellent, I've been having issues with the screen turning on by itself (due to proximity to magnets in the cover/my bag?) and it does not turn itself off. It basically just stays on the lockscreen. This problem eventually leads to a complete battery drain.

I feel like I've gone through all of the relevant settings to try to disable the screen from turning on automatically but the issue is still happening.

Chage Gradiant App Theme (Adapter, Recycler View, DB)

Hello,
I am developing an app that contains a page with a number of different gradient colors. This page contains an adapter for the items of a recycler view, the data of the recycler view is gather from a database. My objective is when the user clicks one of the item the app theme changes with the selected gradient colors.

P20 Use in US and Europe

I spend 5 months in Europe and 7 months in the US every year. Looking for one phone like the P20 Pro (that I could buy while in Europe). But I like to know if I can have both my US SIM (AT&T) as well as my Swedish SIM (Tele2 which by the way works all over EU) in the phone and receive and make calls on either phone number regardless if I'm in EU or US? My Droid Turbo will not stay connected to our employee wireless network. None of my associates are having any issues and I do not encounter similar problems on my home network. I have deleted the network and reinstalled but to no avail. With no others having similar issues, talking IT into resetting routers is probably fruitless. Anything else I can try save a factory reset?

A safe screenlock keeps coming up

Every time I turn my phone on to do something this screen comes up with a picture of a phone and a camera and a swipe symbol etc. I think it's also using my play store app, as my phone says I've used loads of data from it even though I haven't used it!!!

YouTube app - audio and video out of sync

Hi. I have an issue with YouTube Android app: video and audio are out of sync. When I start playing a video, the video pauses for a bit, however sound continues playing making the video quite delayed, or the audio being played ahead the video. I know some videos have this issue made by mastering mistake (or designed to be played on TV), however, these videos have sound played ahead the whole time and it's delayed on all other devices as well, including computer. However, when I play the same video I've encountered the phone related video/audio stuck-delay issue (or almost any other video) in computer (using Google Chrone browser), the issue is gone. Like quite any video on YouTube gets stuck-delayed and therefore out-of-sync while watching on my phone. When watching on computer using a browser, this is no longer the issue... How can I fix this issue? Upgrading YouTube app doesn't quite help...

My phone model is myPhone Hammer AXE, Android version 4.4.2 KitKat (I might have to upgrade, if it actually could let me, didn't upgrade quite a while).

How do I stop Messenger from sending messages on Messenger and also as a text and vice versa?

Whenever I send a text or a Messenger message on only one application both will send/receive it. This eats into text charges . I wanted to use Messenger to send messages and NOT have it charged against texting on my phone.

How to transfer save game data from s7 to s9+

Hi I got the new s9+ and I've manage to get most of my game data over except 1 game 4 pic one word I'm up to level 1930 I can't get it to my new Samsung s9 from s7 I did helium backup and restore but it doesn't save to my sad card so I do it online. It worked for all my other App game save but just that one game . It says file data . I've also tried google cloud backup but there's no space and that's just my games . And google play not picking up the game either is there anything else I can do I don't want to lose my game

My music muted for second many times while playing.

I have my new Nokia 8 and since I bought this phone, I have this stupid issue. When I play music (whatever the player is) - Jack or Bluetooth, the music, that's playing, is being bit muted for very short time and then comes back to the set volume level. It happens even when the phone is locked. Know any solution? Thanks

Why are creepy things poping up in my gallery?

Hi. So for the last few weeks or so, I have had photos and videos of things I have never seen popping up on my gallery making folders for themselves and titling them like "water mark" and the photos are things of like purple spikes, citys and explosions! And my videos,are being put into folders named "local videos" and adds I have watched are being added to my gallery. What do I do is someone watching my videos?

Why am not able to sidelong apps not found in app store?

I tried to install downloder from the play store. After downloading app and opening it the browsers says this app is restricted on this device. This Nvidia Shield is the older version I use in living room my Nvidia Shield in bedroom does the same (the page you are trying to access is restricted) but I have a fire TV box which allows me to sidelong with no problems. Also did turn on allow unknown apps to install.

Galaxy S6 - photos display as black rectangle

When trying to view photos in the Gallery app, the first photo I select display fine, but when I swipe right to view the next photo all I get is a black rectangle. I can view any photo from the gallery, but cannot see the next.
