My Samsung S5 has no sound while playing Media

My S5 has been functioning properly since I started using then about 3 days ago it only allow me to have sound when listening to music both from the speaker and earphones but when it comes to YouTube, WhatsApp or Twitter, when ever I play a video or audio, it mutes the sound and I can't hear anything even if I plug in my earphones. I NEED HELP!!
