Play store stuck on "checking info"

I have a Samsung Galaxy s5 which I wanted to give to a family member so i did a factory reset in order to delete all my info. After this when i go to play store it just hangs on "checking info"
I have updated software, cleared cache & data and it still has same response.
Can anyone please help!!!
