I took a trip in Saturday morning traffic -- drove about 18 miles in about 40 minutes. I don't even recall using Google maps on the way over because I know this route well. I got there early, so spent 20 minutes checking gmail (and catching up on a few emails via voice typing). I also browsed a few media rich news sites. That was it. The phone had a full charge when I started out. As it neared the time of my appointment, I noticed the phone was hot -- quite hot in fact. Which is concerning, because I have only had this phone for about a month, if that. I got in on the Project Fi promotion. And the last thing I want to deal with is another technical issue. The new phone was supposed to resolve issues, not create them.
I think it's too late to return it, but I really think it's unacceptable to have an overheating battery right out of the gate, so to speak. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
