LG Volt Voice to Text stopped working

The microphone icon shows up on all keyboards, but doesn't work. When I go to settings the 'voice input key' is highlighted but it doesn't work.
I've downloaded voice to text apps & they seem to work, but none of the keyboard icons function (LG nor Android).
