How do I stop my background apps from restarting every single time I go back to them on Miui 8?

Every time I have apps running in the background, I'll go to use one such as Facebook or YouTube, only to watch them reload in front of me and completely lose where I was on the page, starting right from the home of the app, or complete reload to main screen of app. It will NOT keep me where I left the page when I minimized.
