Can I leave charger plugged all the times (Samsung Note 10.1 2014) ?

I want to simplify things for my 88 years old mother - gave her my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2013 or 2014) tablet and left it on all the times - purpose is for us to be able to Skype her. Tablet goes to sleep with wi-fi always On to awake. As she will obviously forget to put charge on (or may even try to plug it wrong way...), I simply wish I can let it plugged all the times.

I read there should not be any serious issue with this, aside of battery life (which is weak anyway...), but is that ok ?
