My S7 is shutting down from Google while traveling overseas

This is surely an odd problem. I am traveling overseas with my Verizon S7 phone. I put travel notifications on my account before leaving. As soon as I got here, I bought a local SIM card, so obviously not using my Verizon SIM card/Number. Well I noticed suspicious activity (paypal alert) and got freaked out that somone had access to my Gmail. So I changed the password. BAD IDEA. As google uses multi factor authentication, it sent a temp pin # to my USA based phone #, which I am not using and cannot for about 3 weeks. Because I can't get this pin, pretty much every app from google (Gmail, Docs, etc) I'm loosing access to. The most critical stuff are my visas that I stored on google drive as well as my gmail that has critical info for all of my travels.

I think I'm screwed because:

-Google does a good job of never giving out a customer service. And even if there was one, it would sound pretty suspicious given my above, genuine situation. I called Verizon and they said its a google issue.

So sounds like I'm completely screwed until I get back to the USA and put back in my Verizon SIM card? Yes? No?
