My LGG4 does not notify me of texts or emails during the night (when I am on call)..

When I wake up and touch the screen...all of the sounds and buzzes come thru
I need to know how to make this work? It has never worked I guess. Developers tools, don't charge while sleeping?? Please ?anyone
