SD camera card into Samsung Tab 2

I put an SD card from my Canon camera into my new Samsung Tab S2. I can see the pictures and videos listed fine on the tablet. But when i try to play the MOV files nothing shows. This is a new tablet. Do i need to install a movie viewer? Does the tablet not display MOV files out of the box. Thanks.
