i keep getting message saying"unfortunately system UI has stopped" then my phone goes blank.

kindly assist with resolving the message "system UI has stopped"
when this message pops up my phone goes blank and sometimes on the middle of an app "e.g Whatsapp" my phone does calls, or goes back to home screen.
