Why is a ? emoji showing up to iphone users?

When i send this emoji 🙏 in my whatsapp message to my iphone user friends, they see a 🙏 plus a question mark inside a black diamond emoji. This doesnt happen when i send other emojis. This bothers me as it may send a wrong message to my friends... 😓

Please help!
