Can I turn phone to Ultra power saving mode permanently?

For the time being I want to use my Lenovo A Plus smartphone for calls and texts only. Ultra power saving mode does this perfectly, however if I turn the phone off, when I re-start it goes back to normal mode. Is there a way to do it more permanently please?
