Mp3 player has .cem extension on music

I bought a car out of impound and found this mp3 player in it that has music on its micro sd card but non in its memory. So I try to put more songs (all mp3 files) on the card but nothing will play. When I use file explorer to look at the card's content, each song is in its own folder and all songs have a .cem extension where the mp3 should be.

Any idea what I'm looking at? I can't find a .cem converter app anywhere.
