Rugged flip phone

Looking for a super rugged flip phone (must work with Verizon) for a friend. He works in construction and goes through at least 2 phones a year. He wont go the smart phone route. Only wants a basic flip phone that will hold up. Of course the phone should also have good reception and sound quality especially when on noisy sites. Any ideas?? Thanks.
