samsung wont turn on

i have a samsung galaxy trend 2 lite and it wont turn on. i hold the power button and nothing happens. i try boot into recovery mode but nothing happens. i put it on the charger and after 10 or so mins the screen lit up to show the charging icon and that its on 56% but then the screen froze on the charging icon. i removed the battery and still the same problem. please help. what is wrong with my phone?
