My keyboard will no longer allow automatic spacing between words. How do I rectify the problem??

I would like to add the automatic capitalization and punctuation but, I am not certain how to go about it. Also, my keyboard will not allow
automatic spacing between words. How do I correct this challenge?? Respectfully Submitted,
