Answering call, click speaker and there is a 3-5 second delay before the other person can me?

Happens with various people i speak to. Using a P20 Pro and has occurred before and after the latest update. Haven't had this before with other phones so dont believe it to be the network. Any suggestions on how to fix? Thanks
