Whatsapp Media auto-download is switched off but not working

I've already gone to whatsapp settings and switch Media autodownload off for a 3 options.

If I now go on to Whatsapp and view a video or download pic its still saving them to my Galllery (All photos/All Videos - not 'camera' gallery).

How can i switch this off?

FYI I'm using Huawei P20 Pro
