Galaxy S8 Alarm Ringtone starts halfway through custom song

I wanted a custom song I bought from the google music store as my daily alarm. I downloaded it on my desktop, emailed myself the mp3, saved the mp3 to my Galaxy S8, and then set it as my alarm tone as usual. But it starts the song halfway through so I will not hear the beginning, which is the relaxing part of the song, when waking up. I'm trying to figure out what the problem is. The song is 2:27 minutes long. Is there a size limit? If so, why not start at the beginning of the song instead of halfway through????
