What would cause a particular website to always fail to load due to too many redirects on chrome

Almost every time I visit a particular website ( a sci fi and pop culture website that used to be a lot better that rhymes with smacked) while using chrome the page fails to load and the error message " too many redirects" appears and I have to clear cookies almost everytime i visit. I have even used a different android phone and ill usually get the same error page. What's up? Is this the website? Why only this site?
