How to completely reset a phone to how it was sold?

I have a LG D380 that was rooted and some unwanted apps were installed on it.

I tried a factory reset but it didn't help.

Update doesn't complete

I just check updated version of Android by going to system-> about phone->update in my mi note 4. While updating the android by system update phone, it's keep downloading. i.e. downloading isn't stop at 100% it's increasing 110%,120%...

Posting video on the fly.

I have a website to post my hiking videos for friends and family to view. I usually post them from my laptop but would like to be able to post them on the fly. I sometimes go on hikes for days or weeks, it would be nice to be able to post my videos from my note 9. I've been able to figure out how to post to YouTube or Facebook but not to my website. I can log into wordpress from my cell phone but figuring out how to drag and paste a video into it is driving me nuts.

Why won't my phone stop restarting every 5 seconds when battery is inserted???

Can I get alerts when in a conversation on messaging?

When I'm in a conversation it doesn't sound to alert me to new messages in that conversation. So if I'm texting someone set down my phone leaving the conversation open it doesn't alert me when I get a text back. It seems like an intended feature but I don't like it?

AOD settings won't stay saved

Since the last update for my s9+ I have updated my theme and also changed my AOD to what it was before the update. (I have it with the clock and a picture of my kids.) It will stay like that for a while but inevitably I will go pick my phone up and the AOD shows the theme picture instead of the one I chose. Please help!

Galaxy S9 Screen Flickering ONLY on "Always on Display"

If I enable the "Always on Display" feature, and then proceed to that screen, I get a "strobe" like flickering from the screen along with 3 green pixels in the top right corner of the screen. It only happens with the "Always on Display", as soon as I press the lock/power button to display the lock screen, the "strobe" and green pixels go away.
Not a big problem as I can just turn off the feature, but I am curious as to what could be causing the problem.

is it worth buying the Moto G6 Play if I have the Moto G4?

Best Android phones for family

My wife is 53 and new to phones except for flip phones. She has a ZTE Blade X Maxx which she hates and has caused nothing but havoc. My 19 yr old girl has the LG X Charge and my 16 yr old girl has the Amp Prime 2. We go through Cricket, which we are happy with just not real happy with their phones. I'm thinking of 250.00 and below which would be big upgrade. I've looked at Moto g6, Nokia 6.1 and 7.1 also researching honor, samsung and others. I have the galaxy s8 and happy, want decent phone for family. Wife is not buying for camera she just wants a good phone that she can take photos now and then. Any advise would be appreciated.

How do I keep my location from Google?

Hi,

I've been having a number of issues lately with my Samsung Galaxy S8 and Android location services. The issue started when I stopped sharing my location with my apps. I don't think all of that information should be available ton anyone all the time. Once I removed access from my apps, I started getting these pop-up notifications telling me that I should agree to share my location. It's hard to tell what exactly triggers these pop-ups, but they happen upwards of twenty times a day. I have disabled access to my location for a reason and would LOVE a permanent way to disable this feature.

I have tried:
• Disabling Google Location Services
• Turning location off
• Deleting google location service (wouldn't let me)
• Turning "Improve location accuracy" off

I'm at my whit's end here. This phone cost $1,000. I shouldn't have to sacrifice my own personal liberties on top of that in order to have a phone that works irrespective of whether or not Google and their affiliates can sell my personal data.

I work full time in software and am very tech savvy. I've been going back and forth to forums for ages trying to find a fix, but I'm about to throw this thing in the bin and buy a flip phone if somebody (anybody) can't fix this simple issue.

My Huawei P10 Lite won't find my home Wifi, what do I need to do?

My Huawei P10 Lite and my girlfriends P20 Lite won't detect our home wifi, but it can see and connect to any other wifi signal. Our Landlord has had Bell work on our wifi a couple times in the last few weeks with no changes. He was also on the phone with Bell last night, and Bell and our Landlord thinks it's our phones.

The weird thing is that our laptops, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and all of our Landlords devices will find the signal and connect with no problems.

Does anybody have an idea of what the issue is?

Huawei P20 Pro Random Four Beeps

Hi all,

So this morning my Huawei P20 Pro, for reasons I don't understand (I didn't make any changes or turn any notifications on/off), started randomly making 4 beeps every time I lock or unlock the phone, with about 2 or 3 seconds between each beep.

Not only that, it has sometimes happened when using the phone and it also doesn't seem to make the noise every single time I lock or unlock. Probably about 80% of the time it does do it when unlocked/locked.

I'll record the sound when I'm home and update the post with it.

Any help on this would be immensely appreciated.

Will Pixel Filters increase display lifetime?

So I have the display set to 1440p in the settings, but I am using an app called Pixel Fitler.

In the app I have set the pixel patern to 25%, which makes the resolution 1080p.

I have also enabled a setting that shifs the pixels every 15 sec, which in theory will let the pixels be off 25% more.

Android not giving me a "message not sent" notification.

This has happened several times in the last month. I live in a dead zone and occasionally have no service even to send a text. I used to get a ding and a "unsent message" notification on my home screen, but haven't 4 times in the last month. I only found the message when I went to send another text and saw the read notice on that message. Any tips on how to fix this? I have a dinosaur of a phone (Huawei Vitria) and SafeLink service (I cannot upgrade at the moment so a new phone is currently out of the question).

Contact photo and status are not being displayed...

I had reinstalled Whatsapp 2 days ago and one contact who I regularly sends messages to their picture or 'last seen. cannot been seen but on another phone (with a different number), both their picture and 'last seen' are still there. To my surprise, a day later, their picture and 'last seen' are now there.

What I cannot understand is that they have not used Whatsapp for 5 days so therefore I wasn't original blocked because if I was 'blocked' then their 'last seen' would have shown that they had used their phone 1 day ago and it is not possible to update a picture or 'unblock' when the phone is not connected to the internet.

One thing which I did was yesterday I accidentally delete all my contacts because I was reorganizing them so I reinstalled all my contacts. After the reinstall I then notice later that their Whatsapp went back to normal.

Does anybody have any technical knowledge on this?

What can be causing my phone to turn off randomly?

I have a galaxy note 9 and lately it is been turning off randomly. Some times it won't even turn on all the way. I don't think it's the battery because when I open an app and start using it it doesn't turn off on me, it only turns off on me when the phone is not in use. I have iHeart radio app playing nonstop on silent so it won't turn off on me lol

How can I tell if its the battery problem or motherboard problem?

I'm using LG G Pro 2 (model f350l) with Li-ion (removable) battery.

The battery drained from 100 to 0 in 2 hours and constantly overheated even without using. The battery is not bloated or swollen.
The phone can be charged and there's no heat while charging. ON/OFF and everything else is working fine.

I often left the phone charging overnight leaving it overcharged. I've read somewhere that lithium battery will stop the charging when the battery is fully charged.

I wanted to get a new battery but am not sure if its the battery that's damage and needs to be replaced or is it a motherboard problem.
How can I tell whether its the battery or motherboard problem?

Appreciate your expert advice.

How to control audio of android smartphone with cheap bluetooth smartwatch

I have Oppo F9 Pro as my main device. Now, I have recently bought a cheap smart watch from China. I was wondering if it is possible to control music with my watch and listen it via headphones on my phone.

The original functionality of the watch only let's all audio from my phone to route to the smartwatch's speaker. To combat this I used an app from the play store to change the audio routing from Bluetooth to Speakers/Headphones. This works well. But then, when I change the song on my watch, it plays through the watch again!

Is there something that does the above seamlessly and is a permanent switch?

I think to accomplish this task, the audio router application should check every few seconds for the bluetooth playback route. If it detects something other than the selected choice of route, it should immediately route back to the selected choice of speakers/headphones and not bluetooth.

Is there any app that does that?
If not, can I accomplish this with some code? Are there any open-source audio router applications? Can this be hardcoded with ADB?

How to re-calibrate a new S7 Edge battery

Hey,

I've recently replaced my aging S7 Edge battery after downloading an app (AccuBattery) that reported that the calculated 'health' of the battery was below 60% and it only had ~2000mAh of useful charge, compared to the as-new 3600mAh capacity.

However, after a rather painful DIY experience to replace the battery using the kit from iFixIt - the reported health of the battery has not returned to decent health. It has gone up, but only to around 72% health after 15 charge cycles of measuring.

I'm not looking for 100% health, but I would expect a new replacement battery to be able to do 90%+ of the reported capacity.

I have tried draining the phone until it turns itself off twice, but no real effect. Can anyone help? I would strongly prefer to avoid rooting the phone.

Google maps has a black theme

Just recently, Google Maps has a black theme when using Android Auto when connected (USB and BT) to my Honda Civic 2017.

If I use Google Maps normally, it has a white theme during the daytime and changes to black at night. If I use it through Android Auto (not connected to my car) it works as expected. However if I connect it to my car it always show with the black theme, even though the toggle switch at the top of the screen is set to auto.

My phone is an Samsung Galaxy S9+.

Has anyone experienced (and solved) this?

Android Auto not working on Samsung device

My Samsung Galaxy S9+ is not able launch the android auto once it is connected to my vehicle. The app initaties and then invariably crashes and it keeps repeating this in an endless loop, I tried with a Note8 ending up with similar results. However when I connected a 1+6 the app launched and worked seamlessly (note that I was using a Genuine Samsung USB cable in all the instances).

LG G4 Bluetooth Issue

I've only recently been having bluetooth issues. My LG G4 fails to discover bluetooth devices and fails to be discoverable. I've tried restarting bluetooth and the phone, clearing cache and a factory reset. Strangely enough, the factory reset worked, however once the phone downloaded all the necessary updates bluetooth once more stopped working. This has been going on for approximately one week now. Has anyone else had this issue?

Text message app sending strange text messages

Hello,

I have a Nokia 3.1 phone running Android 8.1.0. My phone uses the default Google Messages app to send and receive text messages. The Messages app was working perfectly until recently. I was a recipient of a text message sent to about 6 people. When I replied to the message that was sent, all of the other recipients received a private text message containing my reply, as well as my reply being in the original mass text message. This has never happened before. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can fix the problem?

Why is WiFi range on my new s7edge much less than my old s7edgd?

I damaged my old Samsung s7edgs. Being very happy with it I bought a new s7edge. With my old s7 I could walk around inside and out of my house, up to 30 meters no problem, WiFi stayed connected. The new s7, the WiFi drops out as soon as I leave the same room as the modem. Can anyone help me?

Multi Window on my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus no longer works properly.

Starting yesterday, my Galaxy S8 plus is refusing to open two windows of the same app.
I use Brave browser daily in multiple windows, so I can let one page run while loading or executing stuff on the other.
Using tabs does not work, as the tab stops executing when in the background, but multi-window worked fine until yesterday.

Now when I open Brave, (I also tried Firefox with the same result) in one window, then try to open another Brave, it just overwrites the already open page.

This makes multi-window pretty much useless.
Anyone know why this is happening, and how to remedy it?

Missing downloaded pdf

I don't find the pdf files in my phone that I download from facebook app. A notification comes that download is complete.when I click to open that file, it is opened adobe reader. This file stays in adobe reader recent list. But I don't find it in my device. If I delete that file from adobe reader recent list, i don't find it in anywhere.

My questions are:
1. where the files downloaded from facebook app are stored in my device? I don't find in download folder.
2. How can I retrieve that file deleted from adobe reader recent list?

Audio play back no longer pausing when Maps reads navigation

I have an s9+. It used to be that while listening to a file I Samsung Music....if Google Maps gave me a direction; the playback was paused until the direction was given and then playback resumed. Is swapping motherboards feasible between identical tablets?

Asus zenpad 3S 0 z500m

I have two: one was working fine till by accident the digitizer got smashed; still turns on, and has sound, and up to two days ago, I could access with otg and mouse. The display is just black now, but has that side glow.
the other was bricked - locked with google account now. I was able to access and do a hard reboot, getting all wiped out.
So, I want to remove motherboard from broken one and mount it on the second tablet ( the google locked one), as that one is in n shape.
Why? because I find removing tow digitizers a bigger risk.
Can it be done?

How does Google find my device work?

I misplaced my phone, which is an LK G4 and used my laptop to use find my device in order to locate my phone. I didn't set the app up on my phone though but it still shows up on find my device. Anyway, I haven't found my phone yet as the map confuses me, as shown here and sometimes my phone shifts directions. So I was wondering, how am I supposed to find my device exactly?

No notification alerts after last update on my S9+

After the last update that was pushed out a few days ago, I no longer get any notification alerts from any apps if my phone is connected to any Bluetooth device. The alert still comes through on the Bluetooth, but not on the phone. The issue is if i have my Bluetooth connected, but not in my ear, i will miss the notifications bc the phone didnt make one

Why does disabling IPv6 fix WiFi issues?

Hello, I maintain an app on Google Play store. A number of users experience an issue outlined many times here, the app works on mobile data but not on WiFi - switching off IPv6 appears to fix it.

My question is why does this happen, I'm looking for technical reasons as to why - so that I may present these to my team and handle the problem a different way, as it seems it can't be solved programmatically.

Couldn't load contact card

Hi everyone,

I'm super frustrated because even calling Google themselves couldn't help me! Hoping that someone out there knows how to fix this. (sigh)

I have a Pixel 2. When I receive a contact card that has been shared through text message using the app Messages, I can't open the card, it shows the box with "Couldn't load contact card". I can share contact cards no problem, but I can't receive from any kind of phone. People with iPhones, Android, Pixel have tried sending me contact cards but it won't work. I noticed that if I get the card through WhatsApp or Line, it works fine, but Messages app won't.

I've gone into settings, tried looking into the Messages app, but can't seem to find anything that will help me fix it. I even tried to uninstall the app to reinstall it but the phone won't let me uninstall it either. I've gone into safe mode, nothing works!

Please help me! Thank you!

Hi, My samsung galaxy note 5 has a black screen.

Music player that allows for playlists organized in folders?

Using iTunes, I rely pretty heavily on grouping playlists into folders to organize my music/audio collection. For example, I have an audiobook folder that houses subfolders for each author. Within each author folder, I'll create playlists for all of the audiobook files. I've yet to find a music player that supports this type of organizational structure of folders that house playlists. Anyone have a recommendation?

How Can I get rid of Mobile Installer "Processing Requests"

On my Samsung Galaxy s9, there is a notification from this thing called "Mobile Installer" and underneath all, there is "..." and under that, it says "Processing requests" THis notification won't disappear, it just sits there and nothing happens, and I can't clear it. When I restart my phone, it's gone, but about a day later the notification comes up and won't go away. Block Google Contact Import from a 2nd Account

My Moto G6 Play is adding contacts from a 2nd Gmail account with Auto-Sync turned off, I only want to access the emails on this account and not the contacts. It even added the contacts when I tried to add the Gmail account to Bluemail (not even the Gmail App. I know there are anwers on here telling you to turn off Auto-Sync and then kill your signal before you can turn off Sync in the settings but my Contact list is getting updated immediately before I even get the chance to turn it off. Help

S8 is showing pictures by date and I don't want them to show that way!

I literally have thousands of pictures in my phone and the were displayed in the order that I took them, so they were easy to find.

All of a sudden, the "Camera" Album shows I only have 71 pictures/videos. However, when I go to the "Pictures" view, all of my pics and videos are there, but they are sorted by the day they were taken.

I've tried to "unpinch" them, but that just makes the images larger and I can't see the smaller thumbnails like I could before.

Can someone help? I do NOT want the date to show - just all of the small thumbnails that allowed me to see the pics in a big grid if that makes sense.

First let me say that I have bought other phones and the problem still exists I have talked to my carrier for over a year and still it is happening. My carrier is MetroPCS and at the moment I have an Aristo 2 and this is about my voicemail. Any calls that I get go straight to my voicemail it does not ring letting me know I'm getting a call. Others has told me that it only rings once then it goes straight to voicemail but it records it as if I've already read it. I don't get no notifications nor does it say that somebody called in my call log nothing I did nothing please help

Why is my hotspot feature on my Samsung keep losing the connection

Found this post from 2015 and gave it a try. The problem I'm having is it wont allow me to save the changes. Tells me the field is empty.

what phone should i get

ok i have galaxy s8+. i cracked the screen the first week i had it, luckily it hasn't died on me yet. becuase of me line of work i break phones all the time, so i'm really wanting to get a cheap phone.

my favorite phone i owed was the note4, really just for the pen and large screen

this is my wish list

1 great batery life, i watch/ listen to a lot of you tube when i drive and work

2 i would really like to have a pen again, i miss being able to take a picture of a job and write notes on them. so maybe a case that has a pen holder?

3 large screen. i have big hands so i'm fine with a big phone. because i watch a lot of video i really hate the tall aspect ratios, just seems like a waste to me.

4 if i could get stock android that would be awesome!

5 IR blaster. i want that back

i've been eyeing the mi max 3. will that feel alot slower then the s8?

let me know your suggestions, or if you think something mite come out sometime this year worth waiting for.

Movies previously downloaded to SD card not showing up on Vudu or Google Play Movies

I had my existing S7 Edge (we'll call it phone a) get replaced with new/refurbished S7 Edge (phone b.)

I had movies downloaded to the SD card from both vudu and google play. When I removed the SD card from phone a and installed to phone b, the phone can see my photos & self-made (non-downloaded) movies, but vudu and google play apps cannot 'see' any of the downloaded movies that (still) exist on the SD card. Based on the limited amount of free space left on the SD card, I know the downloaded movies are still on there somewhere...but, do I need to find and delete the movies on the SD card and re-download them from the new phone? Seems like extra effort?

Moto Z2 Force Edition won't download to Ford Sync

I've been using my Moto Z2 Force Edition successfully for over a year now with my 2017 Ford Fusion's Sync. Last week I rented a 18 Fusion and synced it without trouble, but it would not download the phonebook. When I got home and resynced my phone to my car, it would not download the phonebook there either. The phone and media still work but I have to use the "Dial" and say the numbers to get it to make a call.

Does anyone else have this problem and what can I do to fix mine?

Lost my ability to close individual programs after minimizing.

Google map location sharing has both of us at same location when we're not

My husband and I both drive truck, separate trucks. Since we are all over the place we have Google map location on so we can follow each other.

I also have his email set so I can sign in and read his manifests and company statements.

One day though, I went to check his email and I was logged out. This was on my android phone. There wasn't a place to log in on the email site so I searched, and think I went through Google online or app, thought I found it and signed in, but now it shows on Google map location that he is me and I'm me.

Otherwords, his Google picture shows the same place as my location blue dot.

I'm so frustrated trying to fix this, no one from Google will call me back, so I'm hoping this site can help me solve this.

S8+, OS 8.0.0, Android Auto stop working with pioneer AVH-2330NEX after Jan 2019 update

I have Galaxy S8+ running 8.0.0. My Pioneer AVH-2330NEX is running firmware 8.35 dated July 2018. AA quit working after the Jan 2019 update to the phone. I get an "Andriod Auto stopped working" on the head unit. Here is the troubleshooting I have done so far.
I have tested the phone on a 2016 Honda factory head and all works. I have tested the Pioneer head with a friends old 1+1 (6.0.1 Cyaongen 13.1) and it works with the Pioneer.
But the S8+ and Pioneer do not.
Any thoughts on how to pull some logs?

How to keep USB OTG alive when tablet is locked

Ok, i have a keyboard (joycon simulates keyboard) plugged in and all works well, when i lock the tablet (no password is set so unlocking is just a swipe) and screen goes blank, next time i unlock the tablet it no longer sees the keyboard, i have to physically unplug USB and replug it in for it to see it again. To me it seems that tablet forgets that it has keyboard plugged it and nolonger supplies power to it unless you replug it in, is there anyway to fix this, ie refresh USB connection so it can read the keyboard again so i don't have to physically reconnect USB connection?

How to restore SMS messages

Hi,

I've just bought a OnePlus 6T and it automatically restored all my Android apps onto to it from my old phone. It installed Handcent Next Sms and restored all of my old SMS messages. Unfortunately, every time I received a message, it would not be put in the correct thread, e.g. messages from my wife ended up in the thread for Talkmobile.

I used reset cache option within next sms and now messages I receive go into the correct thread, but all of my old messages, prior to when I got the new phone have disappeared.

I can't work out how these old messages were restored in the first place, and how to go about restoring them again.

Galaxy s9 possible corrosion damage

My galaxy s9 has been exposed to water a few times, all three times I got the water in charging port notification. One of the exposures was to saltwater for approximately 40 minutes. Since then I have had an issue with the keyboard frequently closing while typing and video freezing or collapsing to pip depending on video sources browser or app. Is there any way to self diagnose these problems? Do I have to waste time in line to hear it's unrepeatable?

Photos in google apps not showing in gallery.

I have a Samsung S8 that I recently had to reset, I backed up the pictures as advised by the Samsung technical adviser and I can see the images on the Google photos app but they are no longer in my gallery app on my phone, they are also not in the folders i had them initially saved in.
I want these images on my gallery app on my phone how do I retrieve them?
I have already tried going into account settings to sync them but there is no option to sync gallery??

My headphone jack isn't working.

I dropped my phone in the toilet (the water was clean, this was before i dropped a deuce) and immediately picked it up and started trying to shake the water out of the ports on the bottom. Afterwards, I set it to dry out.

Problem is, now only the headphone jack doesn't work. By that, I mean it will not register the presence of the headphones whatsoever, not that it shows that the headphones are connected when they aren't. I don't know what to do. Should I stick a cotton swab in the port? The headphones work on my computer, so I'm pretty sure it isn't a problem with them.

A second lock screen suddenly appeared earlier today, how do I get rid of it?

The lockscreen contained ads. I have a Samsung GalaxyNote8. It had a drop down option in the corner, so I was able to disable it earlier, but it just came back. It also had two different pictures both times. I've been trying to look up where it came from, and everyone says it's likely from any recently downloaded apps, but I haven't downloaded any recently? Google Chrome is giving me ads on home screen and when the screen is turned off

Ever since a week ago, I started getting ads from Google Chrome and a Play Store app. I downloaded things like addon detectors and got the Play Store app deleted, though when I tried to look for the Chrome app nothing happened. I tried scanning for malware and things like that, but nothing was found. Chrome is now giving me ads when I have my screen turned on or off and when using apps, or just looking at my home screen. I've tried wiping the cache, deleting all cookies, I've said no to notifications and other solutions from other people. Nothing worked. I can't really find anything that helps me, so I'm more or less, giving up. I'd like to solve the problem without factory resetting my smartphone, but it'll probably come to me, having to factory reset my smartphone. You guys are my last hope of solving it without factory resetting. Hope you can help!

Dialer app crashing wen trying to call 042 or 045

Screen flickering ONLY on "Always on Display"

If I enable the "Always on Display" feature, and then proceed to that screen, I get a "strobe" like flickering from the screen along with 3 green pixels in the top right corner of the screen. It only happens with the "Always on Display", as soon as I press the lock/power button to display the lock screen, the "strobe" and green pixels go away.
Not a big problem as I can just turn off the feature, but I am curious as to what could be causing the problem.

Phone doesnt work after receiving calls in car

When i reveive a call in the car..both over bluetooth alone or with the plugged in and using android auto ... the car makes a binging that will only stop if i oress onstar and after that i can only make or receive any phone calls on my handset until i reset my infotainment system. The car is a week old!

Why does my galaxy s9 encrypt itself

Eversince I updated to android pie, my galaxy s9 encrypts itself at night and asks for my password the next morning as if I had restarted it, therefore my alarms won't go off. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Why P20 Pro is suspending the screen when I'm watching a video?

Unable to receive text from one person

It always worked until about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I'm not seeing her replies. Version 4.7 was loaded on my droid phone and it started working again until two nights ago. I'm not sure what to do.

Why don't my notifications make sounds when listening to music?

Okay so I have the opposite problem than most others. I WANT sounds when listening to music. Well since the new update to Android pie I don't receive sounds with my notifications when listening to music. That's both on YouTube music and Spotify. But once the music is off, the sounds come back when I receive a notification. When I look in my settings everything is turned on too. That's settings both in my phone and through the messaging apps and music apps. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Text only receving some of them

Got a new phone lg stylo 4 plus a week ago on boost mobile comeing from an iphone se I can send messages but cant receive massages from specific numbers of get short text like verifacation code from bank

Steps already taken
1)Turned off facetime and imessage
2)factory reset and restart twice
3)swaped sim cards around
4)stopped at boost store
5)contacted customer support

Have a Samsung s7, the mobile data warning icon has come on

Why can't I delete emojis downloaded from Huawei Themes Manager app?

I didn't really like the stock emojis on my Huawei P9 lite phone so I downloaded some new emojis from the Huawei Themes Manager app. Now they have become permanent on my keyboard and I can't seem to get rid of them. Even the emojis from Facebook Messenger have been changed. Uninstalling and reinstalling seems to reset the emojis for a few minutes but they still change back again, even after I have uninstalled Huawei Themes Manager. Any ideas how to fix this?

There is no "allow unknown sources" option under security, where is it

My phone is the LG V40 ThinQ

so i am developer in training right now and to test some things i need to install apps from other websites. On multiple websites it gives the directions to do this: "Settings – Personal – Lock screen and security and select Unknown sources."

When i am under security there isn't even an option. Where could it be i really need this

Small dot on navigation bar is missing

I have an S9+ and the little dot on the left of the navigation bar is missing. I also dont have the option to hide the navigation bar in my settings. Anyone know how to get the dot back.

When watching films or sports the navigation is there and really annoying.

Can I create a filter to group similar numbers into one contact?

I am a volunteer firefighter, and I receive notification of emergencies via text. All of the notifications come from a numbers that start with a specific sequence of 5 numbers (the remaining numbers change with each text). It would be really convenient to save all of these (hundred) of numbers under one contact. Can I create a filter or a contact that could somehow do this?
