Droid maxx will not hard or soft boot.

Is there any way to recover pictures. Have repeatedly tried hard boot but no success. Screen stays black but phone will vibrate periodically like it is trying to boot. Keeping it plugged in to avoid the battery draining down. Willing trash phone if needed to recover pictures.
