Can't log in to Facebook app.

I can't log in to Facebook app on my phone (Galaxy S7 Edge). Error message "Login Failed. Sorry, unable to login. Please check your internet connection." I can access other apps/browsers via wifi and 4G/3G. My wife has exact same issue on Galaxy S5. Have uninstalled/reinstalled app, cleared cache and switched phone on and off to no avail. Help!
