Start......Stop......Pause

I launch a cast from my PC by opening netflix......then the cast link from Chrome menu pull down window. When I want to pause, I tap my PC out of sleep.........but the control bar for pause continue is not there. The cast is coming from phone. If I turn off my phone.the cast switches to my daughters phone.then to my kindle. How do you catch up with this thing to gain some playback control?
