I have android 7.0 nd My messages tones not working at all

Im facing issue that my text message sound does not working at all .... i hv many other apps like whatsapp , imo etc whn i got any text on these apps notification sound work properly .. . I've restarted my phone many times. Changed my tone of message but not working.... plz help me
