Is there a way to quickly add suffixes to words with autocomplete?

Often I want to enter a word that ends in -s. I start typing the word and the base word is suggested quickly, but I have to type the whole word to get the suggestion of the word with the -s ending. Sometimes I just accept the base word and the press space, then backspace, and add the 's' or click the word which is now suggested with the -s ending. But I'm wondering if there's an easier/quicker way to do this. Is there?
