Why does youtube do this on my phone.

For some reason when I watch YouTube I'm unable to watch videos in 720p 60fps or 720. I can only watch video in 480p and if I try to go beyond that I have around 10 seconds before the screen goes completely blank leaving only the YouTube video UI and the audio working.
