How do I turn off the pop up notifications on the note 8?

I'm looking for a way to shut off ALL pop up notifications on the note 8. I was able to do this on my note 4, but cannot remember the setting it was under. I found the one specifically for text messages, but want to shut off the pop ups for apps as well, all while keeping the sound alerts and the icon on the top bar. Can anyone help?
